Muffin or Chihuahua?

An Interactive Game Exhibition Introducing
Pupils in Ages 12-16 to Neural Networks
#NyTeknik

The Project

...

WHAT?

A three-part interactive installation consisting of a humorous game, an informational video, and a pedagogical game showing the basics of neural networks.

WHY?

Introduce and inspire younger generation to delve into Artificial Intelligence. AI is a large concept to grasp so we introduce them to Neural Networks, the building blocks of AI. Neural Networks mimic the way the human brain works, a concept easier for the younger generation to understand.

HOW?

A funny yet surprising problem in machine learning image recognition is identifying the difference between a muffin or a chihuahua. We use this example as a challenge (can you see the difference?) and a puzzle (can you make the machine see the difference?)

WHEN & WHERE?

We exhibit our installation during two days (26 and 27 Oct 2018) at Universeum, a science museum in Gothenburg, Sweden.
