Training with Ingo

Exercise with the legend himself

Current Problem

Have you ever walked past the statue by Ullevi, wondering who the athlete is and what made him famous?
Through our research, we discovered that many people don't know about Ingo, or Ingemar Johansson, the legendary boxer from Gothenburg who won the world championship in heavyweight boxing. Despite there being a dedicated exhibition just for him in the Gothenburg Sports Museum, there's still a widespread lack of knowledge about who this athlete really was, and just what he means for Swedish sports history.

Our solution

Experience a training session with Ingo, as you learn fun facts about his life and career as a top athlete
With the help of rear projection, you can now experience the Swedish boxer Ingo in a whole new way! All you need to do is step in front of the screen, and the motion detection camera will start a set of training exercises with Ingo that you can follow along with. In-between the training sets he'll also tell you some fun facts, so you can get to know who this legendary boxer really was. Our solution fits all ages, it evokes nostalgia in older visitors who knew of Ingo, but also engages with the younger visitors to help them discover something new.
