Our Vision
Our mission was to design a concept that would enable new target groups to choose an apartment of only 581 sq. ft., for instance making the apartment appealing for a family of four. We started thinking: What would make a family want to live in such a small apartment? Then we posed the question in another way; What is worth more than living space? The answer was immediate – time and health. According to the Swedish newspaper SvD, half of all Swedish parents with kids living at home feels pressured for time, and the number one wish is to have more time for the children and for themselves. According to Bronnie Ware, an Australian nurse that has worked in palliative care for a long time, one of the main things we regret when we die is that we did not spend more time with our own family instead of working so much.
It is also a well-known fact that stress have a huge negative impact on our health. Therefore we wanted to focus on giving the apartment a dimension that a house could not provide. There are already time benefits for living in apartments. The travel time to work is often lower and, mainly, the time needed for repair work and maintenance is also a lot less. Could we give this house an extra time advantage that current apartment buildings does not have? Could we also make it feel luxurious and add other features? This was a hard challenge to create, but this is exactly what we managed to do. Read more about this under Concept.
